Carlos, our guide, was knowledgeable and accommodating. It was a pleasure to spend the day with him. Juan, our captain, had expert knowledge of the area. With them, we visited deserted beaches, floated in a thermal pool as salty as the Dead Sea, hiked to a commanding lookout, shared a picnic lunch, and snorkeled on a coral reef. We saw an abundance of tropical and cold-water fish, sea lions, wild goats, and the highlight: a minke whale. It was an unforgettable day.

Your Adventure Itinerary
This Espíritu Santo island tour has no strict schedule, we deliberately make the itinerary flexible so we can spend more time in some places, enjoy any unexpected wildlife sightings and take advantage of the weather conditions.
We’ll include two snorkeling sessions where you can interact with playful sea lions who may nibble the end of your flipper and spot colorful fish such as angelfish and parrotfish on the coral reefs. We’ll visit the sea lion rockery where these mischievous animals relax in the sun. If weather permits, we’ll take a boat trip around the archipelago so you can appreciate the beauty of the volcanic landscapes.
Depending on the group, we may explore the land too and embark on a hike across the volcanic rocks. We’ll make our way to a private beach to indulge in a deliciously fresh, homemade lunch with ceviche, burritos, organic salad, chocolate, beers, sodas, and fruit.

We took a stunning boat ride to Isla Espíritu Santo, whose aqua waters and white sand look like a Caribbean paradise. The respect Paula & Explora Baja have for the marine life … made us feel good about our harmonious time in their waters. I can’t recommend this excursion enough.
We spent the whole day with them and they took us to dive with sea lions… on a four-mile island hike, cave exploring, boating around the island, and also a lunch picnic. Everything was taken care of including food and drinks and they also explained the history of the island and pointed out the local plants and wildlife. They definitely go the extra mile for everyone to make sure that you’re having a good time.
I would emphatically recommend this to anyone– above nearly anything else you do. We saw beautiful fish, coral, birds, and yes, sea lions. It depends on their mood how much contact you get but in all cases a unique and very special experience that’s well worth the trip and the price… They’ve thought out every last detail of your experience so new things come at just the right speed to be comfy with just enough relaxation to appreciate them.
A group of 6 of us from LA were treated like family and felt super safe. Our group had a mixture of beginners and ocean veterans and they made sure all of us had fun on our own levels… We went on a boat and saw dolphins, turtles, and swam with sea lions. It was all so dreamy. Then we broke from lunch on a private beach where they made us lunch with fresh fish.
